What is the advantage of T-Slot Aluminum over welded steel?July 1, 2021 at 5:27 pm #3947
T-Slot Aluminum is lighter that welded steel. So it is easier to handle. It is resistant to corrosion. There is no need for a welder and the assembling can be done without any hassles. The Aluminum T-Slot extrusion frame can be disassembled and reconfigured into a new one. This is a big advantage for businesses because it saves time and money in making a new frame.July 2, 2021 at 12:46 pm #4046
We can design and make our own projects using T-slot extrusions and that is one big advantage.July 5, 2021 at 1:55 am #4206
Aluminum in itself is advantageous over other metal for its use in structural designs because it is available in large quantities, has great strength and it is light, highly ductile and resistant to corrosion. All these properties increases exponentially when it is transformed to T-slots.July 6, 2021 at 11:30 am #4226
It is safer to work with T-slot aluminum because it does not produce large flakes due to corrosion as in steel that poses a hazard of causing cut injuries to workmen.July 8, 2021 at 1:03 am #4514
It’s more flexible, lower maintenance fees and cheaper in the long run.July 10, 2021 at 9:20 am #4565
I think the cost and I prefer aluminium overall for framing.July 10, 2021 at 9:32 am #4569
Welded steel can lose its strength at the joint. Plus it is more prone to oxidation and rusting, which reduces its structural integrity. With t-slot, it is joined by fasteners and connectors and requires no welding.July 18, 2021 at 7:06 am #4773
The Welded Structures strength depends mainly on the skill of the welder. If the welder is unskilled, it would result in weak structure. It would be hard to maintain even structure strength by using welded steel.July 23, 2021 at 7:32 am #5077
